"This letter is in recommendation of Compass Edge Construction, and David Buchanan, owner. David contracted with me for a partial renovation of our beach home in the community of Sanderling in Duck. The partial renovation included the kitchen and bedroom level baths. A seemingly simple job in and of itself, however the home was 28 years old which posed structural challenges to the Compass Edge team. David took it on! And the end result is a beautifully updated kitchen with quartz countertops and a stainless sink with brushed nickel fixtures blending the old and the new, in addition to bright, clean, functional baths with upgraded lighting, vanities, and shower/tubs! Our beloved beach home had been transformed! Although the outcomes exceeded expectations, what impressed me most was the professionalism of David Buchanan and his team of workers. He met with me on time and was always prepared. He addressed all of our questions and was open to changes when possible. He worked with us diligently to stay within the parameters of our budget. What was of great importance to me was his attention to detail throughout the project to include a meticulous clean-up at the close of the project. There is no doubt in my mind that Compass Edge Construction will be my contractor of choice should we needed renovation services again. The kitchen repairs were of the same quality of workmanship as the shower, excellent. The replacement of the linoleum countertops with granite, along with the sink replacement and new paint job, literally makes the kitchen look brand new.
